I have an 804-V sump fitting on my inverted system. It calls for christen part #50004-112 o-ring and #50042-020 gasket for the sump fitting. I've got an email out to ACA but does anyone else know where these might be had?

I did not know there was a gasket in there. Is this the plug you take out with a long 10-32 threaded rod?

If so, the O ring is critical for inverted flight, and goes bad maybe once every decade. It is also a Lycoming part.

Last time I bought one I found an outfit in Texas that sold me one for around five bucks and stuck it in an envelope for USMail, saving about ten bucks in shipping & handling.

I have the vertical system - no plug no 10-32 rod. Just a sump fitting with O-ring and crush washer. I talked to my mechanic and found what I needed. Apparently the first part of the part number is not necessary. Who knew?

I’m pretty sure this fitting is Lycoming part number LW13871. Is there supposed to be an o-ring inside the interior throat of it where the groove is? Is it correct that there is no suction screen? Looking up into the sump where this fitting goes there is a metal tube but no screen. Thanks!

@chadmaisel What was the actual part numbers of the o-ring and crush washer? Did you get them from Aircraft Spruce?

Thanks

Merged the two threads discussing the sump plug

It seems that the 112 o-ring does fit the plug according to the standard sizes in the chart posted above.
