Can anyone point me to a source for the fuel shut off valve for a ’67 7ECA? The manufacturer, Imperial Valve, is no longer in business. Is there a replacement part anywhere short of the ACA upgrade kit? The upgrade is expensive and requires welding in a couple of support brackets. Not sure, but I don’t believe the new valve can can replace the old one and attach to the old rod. Any help is greatly appreciated. DonJ

Thank you Sully. This is looks like a turn key solution. I will pass the info on to my mechanic.

Don here is an adaptor/fixture that I produced that resolves the issue and requires no welding with the new style ACA shut off valve. (See pic) I did this well over 20 years ago on a 1965 7ECA. Minor alteration. I'm sure I'll hear arguments here on that one, but thats the way I called it. tempImageS9rToz.webp

Brilliant! Looks good to adapt the new valve. I ordered Burl’s valve - STC’d and attaches in the original orientation. It bolts on with a plate similar to yours, a bit smaller. Should work fine. Thanks for your reply. Don

DonJ,

To note Burls shop is one block from mine in Alaska and I did not know he also made a plate to adapt his fuel valve. I have been in his machine shop and production facility. If you are a motor head it's one of those place's you just get fascinated with. He's an incredible engineer and machinist.
