8KCAB 160 hp?

I think the 160 hp Lyc is one of the best. When my 180 dies I shall give the 160 a serious look. Anybody know of an STC for that engine, or whether the factory has upgraded the type cert? They did it to the GCAA, and that installation is a winner!

Yes. I do not need vertical penetration - my mission is slow rolls, four point rolls, and cross country. My friend's 150 C/s is as fast as my hungry 180 in cruise.

Makes sense Bob but why couldn't you justify the engine change based on the original Decathlon power plant or do you want to use a different version of the O-320?

That's the question. The 150 is on the type cert. Has ACA put the 160 on there?

I'd call ACA when you're close to having to make the decision or when you can't stand it anymore and need an answer!
