ADS -B Question

Hello all, new here.

I purchased a 1969 Citabria 7GCBC, but it is a state away and won't be flown up until later next month.

My first order of business is to put the UAvionics TailBeacon on it.
Should I wait to get the plane here to measure the opening before ordering the part?
Can I be assured that it will fit because it has fit on your planes?
The current owner doesn't want to remove the light and measure for me.

Thanks for your input/responses, I'm sure I'll have lots more questions - it's my first plane.

It probably won't fit unless there's a later model-year rudder on the plane for whatever reason, but that's unlikely. So you should probably wait until you've got it by you to make that decision.

Congrats on the plane, first plane is always exciting but we need pics or technically it isn't really happening. :) lol

Where are you located?
 
Has to be cut. I am hearing that a hole saw makes quick work out of it. Put masking tape in the hole to catch chips.
