I'm getting conflicting information.
Some say don't do aerobatics with a carbureted engine, other's say it's O.K.

QUESTION: Who has a Citabria 7GCAA or 7GCBC and does multiple spins, loops, rolls, cuban eights, emblemans (sp?) etc.?
Without being in a NEGATIVE G position for more than about ten seconds, has the engine ever had to be restarted?
THANKS!

Thanks for your inquiry and help with the forum.
The forum is a wealth of valuable information.
I am NOT an aerobatic expert.
I am not a CFI nor A&P
Why do you ask????
FYI
I have about 600 hours in a Citabria 7KCAB.
I am comfortable with all basic aerobatic maneuvers, including seventeen spins while descending only 4,000 ft.
I'm cautious and do all maneuvers at least 1,500' AGL.
I am presently working on my instrument, commercial and CFI ratings.
Thanks again.

I'm not sure why you'd question if an airplane, certified for aerobatics and originally built with a carburetor, is capable of doing aerobatics. There is a placard with the approved maneuvers. If you, as pilot in command, determine that you can fly those maneuvers safely then that is your decision to make. We've now hashed and rehashed carbs vs. fuel injection with you so it's probably time for you to make the decision that is best for you.
