Hello, just acquired a 67 gcaa that was mid way through spar replacement. I am going through the plane pretty much completely to conclude with fabric and paint, since my family will be flying it, I want to see all the tubing, ribs, etc. for the peace of mind. I am more familiar with Supercubs, but excited to experience this Citabria. I am looking for an official drawing of the wing construction and a detailed Illustrated Parts Manual if anyone has leads for me. Having trouble finding wing drawings for the gcaa with dimentions, etc. that I could refer to for the 337 later on. Thanks.

Hello AKgcaa and welcome to the only totally free online community dedicated to the Champ, Citabria, Decathlon and sometimes Chief, Cub, and Scout, family of airplanes!

Are we talking wood spars? In the absence of a drawing you could transfer the dimensions from the spars on the good side to the spars on the repair side.

American Champion is just plain awesome at providing drawings that show major construction details. They are ordered by calling the factory parts desk (ask for Chad and keep calling until you get him, he gets busy) and typically cost between about $35 and $85. You can find a parts manual on ebay or maybe even in electronic format online but just make sure it's for the correct year.

Welcome again, we love pics so don't be shy, your pile of parts in the garage is like a beautiful sunset photo to us! lol
