Hi, I am looking to change out the generator system for an alternator system on my Challenger. Has anyone done this? STC?

I had to look it up. It is either a twin jet or a Rotax pusher lawnchair. Either way, you might not get the kind of sssistance you seek here. Somebody may prove me wrong in the next five minutes . . .

Maine flyer,
If you have a Piper PA 28-180 there is indeed a Plane Power Generator to Alternator conversion kit STC'd for your plane. Part # SAL 12-70.
Comes with the Alternator, 1224 regulator and STC paperwork.
Aircraft Spruce has the whole kit for $1300.00 or so.

While I don't see a generator conversion kit listed on the AML Plane Power does list alternator replacements for lycoming 320, 360,540 engine. A call to them should get you started...
