Yes - sorry for the diversion. I guess we could use a thread discussing advanced display cockpits. Yes, for the -300 to display anything meaningful, you would need to enter the altimeter setting every time it changed. Plenty of more important things to do in a single-pilot cockpit.

And we now take you back to the sale of Bart's brand-new 1977 Bellanca Super Decathlon! Make him an offer?

Bart - Feel free to move any of my posts - at any time - if it makes the forum a better place.
Just received my 78 Decthlon CS from its first real annual since I took ownership. The previous owners friendly mechanic did the last one, and believe me it was fine, I’ve flown the plane well over a 100 hrs now replaced the muffler, engine mounts, mags, starter, break lines, gaskets, tires, prop AD, spar AD, now there’s a cable AD and the battery box AD 25hrs. For the battery box AD any ideas?

Drifting again - Sorry, Bart.

72-18-03 – Inspection of battery and surrounding structure – emphasis on control cables. Terminating action required – approved battery box with overboard vent. Not sure how this works with sealed batteries. Nobody uses vented batteries any more.

So I think that you just look in there every so often, and sign it off as required. Factory will sell you a $500 box if you want, but you still need to look at annual.

That is quite a list for a hundred hours.
