Anyone know if Bellanca Decathlons came from the factory with spades? The wings I'm buying have spades with them but there doesn't seem to be STC info to go with them.

Only thing I can contribute: I have Cole STC Spades on the inboard side. I can tell you that the airplane flies fine without spades, but seems more nimble with. Tomorrow if I remember I will check the metal spar wing for location or existence.
The 76 Decathlon CS that I used to fly had them. No idea if they were factory or aftermarket.
The 78 Super Decathlon that I am currently buying does not have them. Nothing in the pristine logs about removal.
IMO the only time you would really care would be competition, to speed up the roll rate a bit.
