Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has experience using EZ Turn, aka Fuel Lube, as an assembly lube for fuel system components that won't be put into use for a number of years.

The fuel system is first on the list for my project and I'm putting new o-rings and seals in components that won't see fuel for about two years. I can also do the fuel lines using parts that are finger tight with no seals installed. Ideas?

Thanks,
Bart

But isn't that what EZ Turn is for? They also claim it's a good anti-seize lubricant and gasket dressing.

I use EZ turn for all fuel things. a lot of oil things too. Works well as a antiseize for fuel pipe fittings.

The tube I use i must have bought at least 5 years ago... I have another small tube that is at least 15 years old, and it's still good.

I think your fuel system will be just fine.

Just my technique, after 20 yrs of working on aircraft, I don't leave connections "loose". if connected, torque it, or leave it disconnected.

Thanks for the reply. Leaving things loose is unsettling to me too! 😬😬😬

Parts like the gascolator need to be in position so I can bend up and fit fuel lines. I think the EZ Turn will be fine as an assembly and preservation lube. It's described by the company as never becoming dry so I think that's what I'm going to do.
