Sold my plane so I am back in the market for a Citabria or Decathlon.

Hey Group,
If all goes well tomorrow, I will be in the market for a Decathlon or Citabria.
Decided I don't have to go 200 MPH and wanting something that can go upside down and roll.
I used to own a Super D. Never should have sold that plane but I did.

Hold on to your hat. A 1977 Decathlon with older fabric + recent engine and prop overhaul just sold for $120K.

Hi Bob,
My hat flew off a couple years ago ..
In fact, my buyer on my RV-7 nearly ready to fly backed out. So, looks like I will be going 200 MPH after all.
I got my kit and engine for a song so I am in it right and will have it flying with glass and a snew IO 360 with 1450hours for less than 75k. I think I will just finish it and certify it myself and fly. Then re evaluate.

It will do spectacular aerobatics if you put a Christen inverted oil system on it. It might even be more comfortable than a Dec. It lands better, and while I never cruised one, my buddy bragged about 200 mph all day long.
