Front Seat & Rear Control Stick

Just purchased a 72 ECA. I noticed during the flight control check the rear stick makes contact with the seat back of the front seat when stick is full forward centered. Is this normal? I am assuming the seat back may be worn out? I only see this as an issue in wheel landings in extreme cases. Other than that, flys incredibly well.

There is a lot of variation in control travel among these aircraft, but yes that kind of thing is not unusual. I believe stick position can be adjusted somewhat using the turnbuckles on the elevator cables, but have not tried it.

I have a pouch on the back of my front seat. The control stick catches on that when doing a control check. It does not stop the stick, but you can feel it. I have never had the stick that far forward any time other than the full travel control check. I don't put anything in that pouch.
