Starting to plan the reassembly phase. One early task will be the fuel lines to the rear manifold.
My existing lines are serviceable, but I think reusing them is not the best option. Metal fatigues and breaks with no warning. Those lines have 44 years and 2000+ flight hours on them. Once the headliner goes in, replacement is much more difficult.
Fabricating new lines seems straight forward. Bend to fit with a tubing bender. Throw away the first 3 attempts. Put on the appropriate fitting and flare the end with the proper tool.
Am I correct in assuming the tubing is 5052?
The original lines are covered with some kind of thin sleeve. Looks like heat shrink tubing to me. Anyone familiar with that?
