Gear legs

They were working when I pulled them off, but looked like re-arching was the next step. I would have flown them the way they were for easily another decade.
As to photos, what area specifically is of interest? Certainly not the condition of the paint? They are Decathlon parts, but I compared them to Citabria, and they look identical.

Well, let's see ....... When you say "re-arching", I am assuming they were looking somewhat like an old Cessna 170A gear leg that swayed inward under the weight of the airplane. And concerning photos, I guess I just like to see before buying.

Eric,

The only two options you really have are to either buy a second hand set like what Bob has and send them to the guy in Washington for reconditioning or just buy a set that has already been reconditioned by Rainbow Flying Services. The money is going to be about the same and there's really no way to know for sure what you're getting from a second hand set since they won't really show their condition until they're mounted and the weight of the plane is on them. Reconditioned legs from Rainbow are done by the same shop in Washington and they aren't just put in a jog and bent, they're checked for external and internal cracking, they're heat treated, primed, etc. so they're worth the money that Ron charges which is still reasonable after many years of selling them.

Good luck! I need a set too, my Citabria legs are looking a little tired! :(

No. Parts that remain available for a year and a half are either way overpriced or defective - avoid them.

I do have a set of landing gears from a 1976 7GCBC that i can sell, i do not have the part number at the moment, i'm away from home.

Do you still have the gear….seems like a long time ago. But I’m trying !

Yes i do, they were on a Citabria that had 1080 hrs, no accidents, they are in a perfect shape, in their original white color, the former owner was
my best buddy, he took that aircraft apart with the idea to put a a set of aluminium spars in the wings but during that time, he bought a kit
for a Super Cub, the Citabria end up on the shelves, i bought it and i'm rebuilding it in the homebuilt category with a Cub type landing gear.

Make me an offer, i can ship it when you want.(wheels and axles are not included)
