Howdy,
I hope all you folks have been having fun flying this summer. It has been very wet or windy up here in Northern Maine all spring and summer. Could only manage to get 25 flight hours so far compared to over 100 this time last season. Still looking wet in the forcast and Fly-In's being cancelled all over the place or can't go due to weather where I live.
So, like they say, "Prepare for the future". I am planning on winter flying a lot more and I am covering my skis with plastic bottoms and buying a Tail Ski. Want to be ready for this winter.
I am looking for a Tail Ski, would want a wheel penetrating Burl's Magnum to fit my Scott 3200 tailwheel. Does anyone have a lead on a good used one or have one for sale. Last winter I was getting stuck due to 3 reasons, No plastic on bottom of aluminum skis, Low horsepower, and tailwheel digging in the snow when I tried to move.
Trying to get my ducks in a row, and want to be ready for winter operations. Pic is last spring.
