Hello fellow members,
My name is Neil Harding and my family own a 1975 7KCAB. We’ve had good use out of it in the 8 years it’s been in our family and we are now looking at a few panel upgrades in the near future. Will send photos along when I work out how to....
kind regards,
Neil and co.

Hello Neil. Steve from Ohio. Even though my plane is relatively new (2004 7ECA) with a full gyro panel, I am making some changes. I am pulling the Vacuum system and replacing both the AI and DG with a Uavionix AV-30P. Mostly for use in instruction and to get some indication of pitch when doing acro. Very light and relatively inexpensive at $1995. You can switch between AI and DG mode....not that any of that is necessary in VFR plane. The other thing I am adding is the EI Tach Engine monitor so I can make sure I get to 2400 TBO Both items use existing holes in the panel making installation relatively easy except for the plumbing for the monitor. The other thing I did was ad a Surefly mag which makes starting flawless hot or cold and eliminates the inspection and maintenance on at least 1 MAG.

I had the same photo adding issue. Go to the little picture between the paper clip and smiley face in the tool bar and you can add photos from there.

I am a new member as well.

Thanks Steve,
I will follow your upgrade with great interest. My DG-AI are electric gyros and I like the look of the AV30C as replacements. Here is a photo of the airplane and the panel....2CA86C4B-BD47-444E-B44B-4592E8493130.webpCD6F2600-3F4D-4617-9117-D5AC0EB98C74.webp

Funny, to add images I always use the "attach files" button just below the dialogue box when creating a post.
