Hello from Terrebonne Quebec

Hi everyone

Retirement is coming in 3 months and i bought a 1976 Citabria who need a full rebuilt, the previous ownner, a friend of mine, took it apart with
the idea to fully rebuild it with the aluminium spars, however, he end up buying a Supercub kit from Nick Smith in Ontario and the Citabria end up in
pieces in a few box in his hangar, this will be my retirement project and it will not be a stock Citabria, it will be an "experimental " aircraft' (Yes it can be done)
What i have in mind is to make it like a 2 places Aeronca Sedan 15AC, with the Sedan wings + flaps, 180 HP, i already heard tons of bad comments, but you know what, i'm married to a Quebec French women, nothing scares me.

Franky, that sounds like a project I'd be happy to follow along with. I hope you'll post lots of photos as you start up on it and as you're moving it along. We need more projects that take us outside of the realm of factory stock airplanes! They're nice and all but it's interesting when people start personalizing them!

Sorry for the late reply, i've been quite busy lately

Of course i will post a lot of photos.

I'm thinking of using the Riblett 66" ribs from D&E Aircraft to build my wings, the parts shopping is already on, i just received a bunch of avionics
stuff from Aircraft spruce: Dynon Skyview, Garmin 200 com, Uavionix Tail Beacon X transponder with the AV-30-E , found a set of 2400 lbs amphib
floats back home , the bottom design may seem weird but apparently, they are not bad at all, they are quick to get out of the water but i'm wondering about their behavior in choppy water, if i'm not happy with it, i will modify them later.

The adventure is beginning.
