Well that was supposed to say “Hello from VT” - oops but can’t seem to edit thread title, so hello grom VT it is :-)

welcome Alasdair! nice looking checkerboard on the Champ. nice looking hangar space too. couple planes, plenty of space.. got some power running through it. got the VW winterized. looks good!

That is the most badass Champ I've ever seen! I love the ones with the traditional yellow/orange scheme and the ones that use the traditional color combinations from the golden age but yours should be the poster child of Champ attitude everywhere and for all time! lol

Welcome to ChampCitabriaDecathlonForums.com, glad you found us, make yourself at home and don't forget the shortcut, CCDforums.com, it'll take you here and it's less to type.

Welcome!

Welcome. I've always admired checkerboard paint details, but have found them among the hardest to get really right. A beautifully detailed Champ.

So... I see the Carat trailer, and what looks like a Schweizer SGS 1-34 nose; what's in the Komet trailer?

Thanks. scoutdog

I think I would repaint. But that would make it heavier. Enjoy your new Champ. Go say hi to the folks at Scootair - tell them their Stearman still flies every darn day!

Well, eh - I do understand that for some it just has to be a traditional scheme. However, I like it very much as is, sacrilege or otherwise :). It’s also not a new champ to me (have had it several years) but I am new to this group.
