Daisy Mae has ACA metal spar wings (2001), Olin Pash spades. Oleo gear. I have a grass strip in North Alabama that I fly it out of.

I came here to comment on this thread: https://champcitabriadecathlonforums.com/threads/h-o-aircraft-stc-150hp-o-320-7eca.11/

The O320-A2B my Champion came with has 225 hours since rebuild, has 7-1 CR pistons, and runs on 87 non-ethanol unleaded. It is a wide deck, 2700 RPM, with a solid prop flange. Dual mufflers and exhaust (crossover pipe in front), and a cowling that does not ever get the cyls hot because of the lower lip. That is how the 66 GCAA came. Mine has the 3 angle valve job Ly-Con used to put on the Lycoming cylinders (2002), and can swing the same 73 pitch prop as the 160HP, 100LL burning engines. It has the automotive paper air filter, and hates even the sight of rain.

I see on that thread that there are issues with the fuel tanks, and that swedging cables is still an issue. I guess I will stick around and talk elevator cables and gas tanks. My plane has not flown for over 4 years because of a gas tank weld failure.

I hear that early 2000 wing tanks were prone to cracking, at least on Decathlons.

I bought my Cub in DCU in 1962.

Sounds like a nice aircraft. Hopefully you get the tank problem fixed. I just bought an 1965 SN 14 7GCCA model. The wooden spar is cracked. It is going to be a fun project. Will get some use out of my AP and IA. LOL
