Not sure I want to get too far into this -
A friend’s Chief has a bad altimeter. Over all the instruments is this neat 1950s-like stamped overlay, which has to come off before one can get access to the instrument screws.
So the big question - do these unnecessary accoutrements just pop off, like the door panels in older cars, or are they held with nuts on the back of the instrument panel?
If the latter, I won’t touch it. No longer thrilled with working upside down in cramped dark places.
