I am looking for my 1970 7GCBC wing strut replacement. Do I only have to look for 7GCBC applicability like Spruce do or exact OEM P/N as WagAero do? For instance, heavy duty wing strut was not even born in 1970, but Spruce is selling them according to applicability with strange P/Ns. Is that enough for safe buying?

As I see, PMA refers to quality but P/Ns refer to applicability, maybe wrong. Univair and WagAero has the same P/N for rear strut (5-268) which is good for meWing Struts.webp, but the front one is questionable. If they say that P/N 5-392 is for 7GCBC, does it mean it replaces 5-144 as required in my PM. If not, I can not replace front one because I can not find 5-144 on market at all.
