Would someone please share the proper method to fix this issue? I'm not sure if the static port "disc" should be adhered to the fabric or if the "nut" part of the static port is supposed to be attached into something behind the fabric. I temporarily have it "speed taped" down until I can repair it properly.IMG_9736.webp

I would use Pliobond (carefully). Or Bargs.

Maybe 3M-3N water based contact cement would give you a better chance at cleanup?

Thanks Bob. Haven't heard of Barges in a long, long time. I used to use a lot of that stuff tying flies. :) My A&P came by this morning and thinks there is supposed to be a clip (there is a groove behind the disc) holding it in. I haven't looked in the tail yet to see what's behind the fabric.

Ahaaaa! Makes me wonder if it was clipped in the first place or just glued to the fabric. Can’t imagine how the clip could come loose.

Upon closer exam, mine looks different from yours. Mine has a threaded shaft with double nuts holding it into the bracket instead of a clip.

Thanks! This is exactly how it's done in my Citabria, and that retaining clip is exactly what I was looking for. If mine is gone, as in can't find it inside the plane anymore, where can a new one be found? That blow-up schematic you posted doesn't seem to be in my service or parts manuals.

Just give ACA a call. They had them in stock when I ordered mine.
