New engine - upside down on the pallet

This may seem like a dumb question, but when I do an engine I don't mount the mags, carb, baffles, exhaust, etc., until the basic engine is mounted.
So I need advice from someone who has mounted a complete engine with even the carb air box attached. I have one cherry picker, but could get another.
I am thinking of bolting a prop to the crank, then lifting the thing by its nose, and then rotating into a couple sawhorses arranged to capture the rocker box cover flange on each side.
Once the engine is safely right-side up, I am home free.

Suggestions?

Could you strap another pallet to the engine with a tire or something between the engine and the second pallet as a cushion and then just roll it over, right side up, on the new pallet?

Are you saying the engine is complete but upside down on a pallet? And if I understand correctly your trying to hang it without removing any parts? If this is the case I’d get some friends and pick it up and flip it over then hang on cherry picker. But the safe thing is remove any parts that may be damaged if you lose control. Do you have any pictures?

I got the solution from a Cub buddy. I have a spare engine mount, so I stabilized it so I can drop the engine vertically on it. Initial pick will be by the prop (I have a cracked prop) with two guys insuring that the mags don't hit the pallet. Once vertical, we will hook to either the lifting eye or crank and rear cylinders, and again lift while rotating. Probably take two hours. Will report back.

If I could do that, I would just hang the engine on the airplane. The trick is to turn the engine right side up without crunching anything.
Plan is to pull the engine vertical with the prop, rest it on the mount, grab it in a different spot and rotate the rest of the way. Photos to come.
