Hi, just ran into this site from the SuperCub.org site.
I've owned my Champ since 1985 and now I'm attempting to restore it back to very near original. I'm located in the Twin Cities at the Anoka County airport. Currently the wings are on saw horses and the fuselage is on a rotisserie. I have new spars (wood of course) and a number of new ribs in both wing panels, I'm making new leading edges and I've replaced all the hardware and cables. The fuselage has had both lower longerons replaced, but I still need a few issues cleared up before I can paint the original color on the cabin tubes. Then I can start mounting the new wood stringers and formers I've made.
I've posted on the National Aeronca Association forums, but that web site is pretty much a ghost town now and their FB page has taken over all the activity.
I'm hoping that this site will have a little more depth in the topics and less fluff than FB.
