Thought I'd share for those looking for to install a new interior. Just installed this complete interior from Flightline. It's the mid-grade fabric and went in with not too much trouble. It helped being so close to the ACA factory and having made prob 20 trips there over the last few months for parts. Was able to talk to the guys who do the interiors and see them as they went in a few planes, huge help!

@avpro91 beautiful work and thanks for the photos!

How did you place the order with Flightline and how long did it take for them to get everything to you?

I've tried calling them but they don't answer the phone and don't call back when you do get to leave a message.

Thanks!

I ordered shortly after I bought the plane last year. Think I ordered in June and was told October. Received the interior end of September. I realized he map pocket in the side wall is sewn in too far aft when finally installing it last week. I emailed them and they have a new side panel coming my way this week. The have pretty great customer service, but I know they are understaffed for the volume of work they have had lately. They make all the interior for the factory (new and refurb planes) and they have a lot of Vans RV business too. The RV interiors are over a year wait. I think the ACA interiors are prob 4-6 months. The best way to get a hold of them is to email them I think. I've always gotten a pretty good response that way. Hard a hard time getting them on the phone initially and recently with the problem I had. Email response was same day though.

will do that this morning, thanks!

And, for what it's worth, Flightline doesn't have much info about ACA aircraft at their website but ACA does. Here's the link to ACA's interior options which are all made by Flightline. Flightline might have other options available, I'm not sure.

The reply I got this afternoon. :(

Hello,

We regret to inform you that we will be suspending any new orders through the spring.

The culmination of a recent accident / supply issues/ uncertainty in inflationary costs have created accumulative issues and pushed out lead times. These issues are affecting the entire industry.

The effects from everything are making normal challenges of business, much, much more challenging.

Over the years we have prided ourselves with giving the best customer service and the best product possible. We would like to keep it that way. Thanks for your patience while we regroup.

I have a friend here in San Diego who wants to broaden his business. He normally makes sailboat covers, but he made a gorgeous seat sling and a nice pair of shock covers for my Cub.

For Citabria/Decathlon work you need either leather or "burn certs" which may be a new thing for him. But I can check.

I think you have seen my Decathlon interior - the nice lady who did the sewing has left us, but her work was superb. She had never done a Decathlon before, but did just fine,

Yeah that doesn't surprise me. They were crazy busy last summer when I ordered and I'm sure its 10x's worse now. Hopefully they can start taking orders again in the summer.

Ordered an entire new interior with leather seats from Airtex back in February. 19 week lead time😳
I saw an Airtex interior with “coal” leather seats (“dove” accent stitching) in a Citabria and it looked fantastic. Airtex advised they’re busier than ever, big backlog. Talked to the owner (Dodd), really great guy! I’ll report back when I get things installed. Here’s a pic of an Airtex seat I’m attempting to emulate (screenshot from a YouTube video):

That's a nice interior! Any idea where the embroidered should harness sleeves came from?
Hey Bartman, I thought the same! I asked Airtex, wasn’t them. I’ve found some custom ones browsing Etsy (for cars) that look very similar.

By the way Brian, your interior looks great!!!

Wow, that's fantastic! I would love a leather seat. Although, it would be a bit of a waste, since 99% of the time my cushions are in a bin, since my chute fits best on the bare frame.

I got the mid grade performance fabric. One step below the leather. Regular cushions and it was like $2700 for the whole thing. Plus I bought new metal to go underneath it all from ACA. That was actually pretty cheap. $150 or so for a whole set.
Flight line isn’t the cheapest but I’m extremely happy with it and worth the few extra bucks in my opinion

Amazing looking interior! We have the same CF floorboards but ours are not nearly as shiny. Curious, did you put additional finish on the floorboards, and if so what did you use? What colors of fabric is that? Thanks

Hey would u have any other pictures you could provide me? I’ve been using yours posted here to install my interior. Any pictures of the front right lower panel? And also how you attached the curtains to the floor? Before or after the carpet?

Great looking interior. I just used Flightline for my seats. reasonable pricing and easy to install. Lee

Hello, just come across this interior post.. I’m going to be installing the new flightline interior in my gcbc.. curious on the small channel or rod type aluminum that slides into the side panels with the cotter pins for attaching the new springs…. Mine are rough shape, some cracking at cotter pin holes… is there home remedies for replacement of these? Mine are like a U type, almost look home built? If flattened out they would be 1/32” x 1/2” flat..
