Hello,

My name is Doug Hanrahan, and I'm a new member! Looking forward to posting and following. I own a 72 KCAB and I'm overhauling the wings now. Converting to Milman aluminum spars. Almost done with the first wing.

Hi Just a quick comment on the Milman spars.
I put them in my 7GCBC wings twenty years ago. Very happy. No spar ADs to deal with, probably paid for themselves on that alone by now.

If you are also installing their leading edge skins, be sure to check if there should be any washout or twist in the KCAB wing. Once the leading edge skin is screwed to the spar that's it. You can't change it. Trying to adjust with the rear spar lower fitting, after they're finished and on the plane, will put deformations in the leading edge skin between the ribs. the "D section" does not want to twist.
