Hi all,

I am restoring a 1977 7KCAB and while the Univair Bellanca Parts Manual does the job at helping me source most parts, the old hardware and parts designations often lead to a dead-end for modern-day equivalents. Has anyone found a parts / hardware reference table that provides modern hardware equivalent numbers?

Thanks!

Hi Ms7KCAB,

Welcome to the forum! My Dad and I are rebuilding a ‘59 Champ and have the Univair manual as well. Here in Canada, Aircraft Spruce is pretty good at cross referencing the Univair numbers for the most part. Hope this helps. Looking forward to following your rebuild project. Keep us posted.
Cheers!

Hi there and thank you!

Spruce can indeed handle some but it seems Bellanca has their own PNs which are preceded by “1-...” which confuse everyone from Spruce to Wag-Aero to American Champion and so-on... it was just a totally different era. That’s where I’m having difficulty 🤷‍♀️

In some instances the part numbers are the AN designation for the hardware (nuts, bolts, cotter pins, etc.). Some of the hardware designators are obsolete but a google search will sometimes show that maybe Aircraft Spruce or Wicks or Univair or whoever will still list something with that original number making cross referencing unnecessary. Also, sometimes the hardware has been superceded and will be listed as such in an American Champion Service Letter

Maybe that helps?

Oh, did not know about Wicks and did not think of the Service Letters! Thank you, I will explore those options!
