New stringers, necessary to pre-soak?

hi all, on the horizon is installation of new stringers. is it necessary to soak them in order to get them to conform to the formers or is there enough flex for them to lay right in dry?

I just installed my stringers on my 7AC this past summer. The top two 'T' shaped and the bottom two on the belly have a lot of bend to them so I soaked them before bending. On the top two, I used a rachet to tighten them up a little at a time until they were tight, and then let dry. Worked pretty good, I would be afraid to bend them dry.

Mix half and half water and ammonia, and wet down the stringer. Wait 10 minutes or so and wet it again.Lay it in place and let it dry.
The ammonia opens the wood grain without causing the wood to swell. You also don't need to soak the wood thru which can cause twisting and warping.
