Hello all, I am a decathlon driver out of Oklahoma. I have a 1975 Bellanca Decathlon 150 pony AEIO-320 (N53747). Looking forward to learning, contributing, and reading everyone's experiences and talents. Thanks!

Well welcome to ChampCitabriaDecathlonForums.com, the only totally free website on the internet for our beloved family of aircraft! I like to throw a shameless plug out there once in a while :)

First owner of your Decathlon? Not sure why I ask, had a feeling and went for it. Have any pics?

Is that a 150 with the CS prop or fixed pitch? If fixed pitch I'm going to be expecting a full pilot report, they're rare but the best utility bang for the buck of the 8KCAB's.

Welcome!

I am a first time owner. Yes, Lycoming 320 - 150HP/CS. Here are some additional pics. I had a spare issue that resulted in a large sum of money to put metal wings on this baby.

Nice to see a more rare color combination, very Wisconsinish being the colors of the Green Bay Packers. They must love that one back at the factory!

Do you do any acro with it? Do you compete with it or have you ever?

Yes I have done some acro with it. I don't know of any acro instructors near by so I am very cautious to teach myself (not smart, I know but what else can I do?). No I do not compete, much to amateur.

Yes, be careful. Self-taught aero can result in an unwanted "split S". Never pull back when upside down when things don't look familiar.
