Hi All,
My tach oil seal was replaced last year and now it's leaking again. The shop that did the work has been sold and restaffed so I can't really go back and ask for anything. The shop by my hangar says they can pluck the seal out with a screwdriver blade and pop a new one in but I'm wondering if anyone has an idea why it's leaking again. Or do they typically need frequent replacing? The current seal has about fifty hours on it.
Any value in going to an electronic tach?

Thanks!
