I just realized I haven't seen a sub forum for us to post videos. Mod, please move as you see fit

This was right after I bought my plane. I'm just pounding it onto the ground getting used to it.
You'll see it climbs really well with 150hp. You'll also hear my tail wheel shimmy (sounds way worse in the video)

This next one was a little later in the season

Here I fly from Tacoma Narrows to Cougar Mountain then stop in Puyallup before heading home. I overfly McChord AFB twice

This last one was a fun day mid June. I flew my Citabria to the middle of Eastern Washington to pick up my uncle's BT-13. I flew it and a woman who is a 80 something year old family friend to Aviation Day at Wenatchee. I got to park next to a B-25. Originally she was going to ride with me while my uncle drove his car. She was going to drive his car back so he could ride with me. She told him to drive his own damn car.
Once I got the plane cleaned up and put away I flew my Citabria home.

For this next season I have some great external mounts and some gel vibration isolators.

Let me think about where to put that sub-forum and I'll try to get it done today. There is the "Went flying today" thread that is supposed to be a drop box for daily flying photos, and I suppose videos could go there also but let me see what might work best and give it a try.

And....thanks for the suggestion! I'm more than happy to keep making little tweaks as we go if it will make the site better. Eventually we'll see traffic pick up but I appreciate the suggestion so thanks!

I think you will have to advertise. The Aeronca forum is moribund - the theory is everyone went to facebook. I personally see no socially redeeming value in facebook - seems about 80% inane. The Aeronca forum was for a while an excellent source.

The "club" forum is restricted to paying members - I was one once, but figured my dues just bought the owner airline tickets to fly-ins. I don't know how that one is doing.

Most forums I visit have a small but knowledgable base - often no more than ten regulars. Supercub is the most active. I bet there are 15 "regulars".

I posted an ad to Facebook this morning. We'll see if it brings in any new members.

If anybody feels motivated you can print the pic and hang it on bulletin boards when you're out flying around. :)

It's real quiet over there, which is sad because there is a ton of good threads.
i was prepared to let my membership go but the most recent magazine had just enough content to make me feel guilty if I let it go (I'm a closet Bellanca Viking fan).
i ordered the revised book and renewed for another year.

I know how you feel. It was a bit painful to start this new site knowing it might eat into activity at the club site but I just don't believe forums hidden behind paywalls are good for their respective communities, especially with Facebook poaching forum activity at alarming rates.
