I've always been told that T&F aircraft need to stay hangared for longevity, to reduce UV exposure on the fabric and dope. I've also been told to avoid rain, which might accelerate the corrosion of steel tubes in the fuselage and tail feathers.
When I planned my first multi day XC trip, I selected destinations with transient hangars. Last night I get to my final stop and the hangar is full, so I can only get a night time tiedown. Of course it rains buckets all night long.
Should I stress about this?
