STC's For Scout

This is not responsive to your query, but I am interested in the kind of flying you are doing right now with this Scout, and what you plan in the future. You might be a candidate for a 160 Super Cub.

Yes, like most I've yearned for a Super Cub. The Scout came up as a project. So I'm going to give it a go. I flew a Citabria in 76. This has the same interior from 74. It's like a trip down memory lane.

Purpose - grass strips and home airport is tarmac. Nothing to adventuresome until I get to know the aircraft and have a bit of time on type.

I've been out of GA for awhile. It's nice to be back.
 
Okay. Here is my recommendation: keep it as close to stock as you can. A lot of magic mods are not magic at all. Big tires may look cool, but they mostly hurt performance. The only time they are useful is when you are landing in a spot you really shouldn't land on. If you have to land there, big tires are a necessity.

You should install shoulder harnesses, but that is not an STC project.
