Super D in OK

Looks brand new from here! Mine is 1977, but with aluminum gear legs, and separate wing/fuselage fairings.
 
That photo illustrates, for the rest of us, what the design standard was for the top bump in the cowl! Only the constant speed, 180hp spinner lines up! lol
 
Good decision. When I was looking for a second aircraft I considered the C-180, maybe a 172 taildragger with 180 Lyc, and the Decathlon. I lucked out - the Decathlon showed up first. It is an ideal second airplane. Fast enough, economical, comfortable, aerobatic.

It could only be better with a 160 C/S version. I get tired of putting gas in. The 150 C/S is nice, but burns almost as much as the 180.

I am almost sure I posted my problems with that little plug in the oil sump. If you lose oil pressure inverted, remind me and I will find my post.

I really like the way you said that............"fast enough, comfortable, economic, AEROBATIC. I still really enjoy it after 2 years.
 
Just got signed off in decathlon. Been fun so far. Lots to learn but that why I bought it.
