Tires

Aircraft Spruce bought out a smaller outfit located in Dallas so, like me, almost anything you need is one day UPS ground away...
Their prices are in line with Desser or Chief and shipping is paid on orders over $350.00.
And personally, ALL my orders can meet that dollar amount (this according to my House Commander/CPA).

Spruce isn't usually the best price, but their buying experience is top shelf. They have invested the $$ in automated inventory tracking at their multiple warehouse locations, so you immediately know which items are in stock and when they will arrive. Of the 20+ orders I placed with them last year, only one did not arrive by the scheduled delivery date. With most other vendors, the website is just a front for someone in a room stuffing boxes.

I've been surprised that Aircraft Tool Supply (aircraft-tool.com) doesn't list backordered items on their website and that you don't find out they're backordered for a couple of days when you get an email saying your item won't be shipping for a while.

Chief isn't getting another dime from me so not even worth going into how rude they are!

I try to buy from Wagaero and/or Univair when I can just to spread the love around but Aircraft Spruce has been getting the majority of my orders.

I'm always a fan of supporting small biz, but my time is not free, and it is hard to beat Spruce for fast and reliable ordering. Also, at Oshkosh last summer two of their employees in a golf cart picked me up while I was walking, gave me beer, and took me to a party. Hard to beat that for customer service.

I use Desser for batteries and tires/tubes. I am in the Nashville area and get my orders from Desser the next day and shipping is free.
Also, their "Monster Retreads" are the best tire value I have found. Have been using their retreads for ~ 10 years..

I have been using their 8:00x4 retreads since it was a one-man operation in Sequoia Ca. That is almost a half century ago. Did not know they sold batteries.

These are the ones I’ll need.

On Spruce's website the Specialty tire 8.50x600 6 ply is almost $400.00.
The 8.00x6.00 6 ply is half of that...
Is 1/2" of diameter worth that much?
Insert Rubber jokes here...
