Wanted Dead or Alive - nice 7ECA or 7GCAA project

Get one alive enough for a ferry flight home. I am guessing $25 grand. We sold one two years ago for $19 - good engine, ok cover with lots of cracks in the heavy auto paint finish. Looked good at 20 feet.

Alas, the new owners totalled it.

Only a Mooney is a better value than that. I understand why Ercoupes are often in the $16,000 range, but a semi decent Citabria ought to be higher.

We have a guy selling a 90 hp Champ for $32,500. He might be in for a surprise.

Thanks - I've seen the BS project listing and am not interested in an oleo gear or the O-200

Preference would be;

A 1979 7ECA or later with the O-235 K2C or a 1973 or later 7GCAA with the O320A2B or B2B

They are out there. I understand why you would avoid the oleo gear, but if price is part of the equation you can see that the spring steel models are more expensive.

Been there done that as far as oleos go. Although they handle nice, especially in a X-wind (as designed), servicing, weight and drag aren't worth the hassle to me. It's totally a preference thing.

Attached are B&A photos of my last project - all credit goes to ACA
