OK guys, here's a long shot for info. I'm looking for a suitable replacement voltage regulator for an old Ward Aero wind driven generator. The Ward Aero manual specifies a p/n 137. A Prestolite VBO-4201C-1 regulator was used before the 137. I have been unable to crossmatch or even find any useable data on either regulator. I don't have a bench table method of driving the generator for test purposes. The attached photos shows my current method of testing and it's a bit cumbersome. Anybody have info on a workable match for this regulator ?

I have a complete system, working perfectly when I yanked it out of our J4. Might sell.

But I removed it for a very good reason - we now go over a month between battery charges; with the Ward setup it was charge every second or third flight. The system cannot keep up with the drain of a master solenoid.

We get 60-75 starts between charges on the PC-545, and run the radios for four tach hours off a 7 AH gel cell. Way, way more satisfactory.

The master solenoid is an item I had not considered. More research.

Later that same day ......... I found that my battery solenoid draws .92 amps at 13.5 volts. Shouldn't be a problem. Still looking for a suitable regulator.
