So, yes, I'm a little late posting this thread for 2021 but here it is and what a first post I've got for you!

Former IAC Unlimited National Champion, Earle Andrews, came for a ride with me today in my 7ECA. He's offered to help me prep for my first acro contest and I couldn't be any happier to have him along. We've been friends via RC flying for a good number of years now and so it's awesome to see him back in a G/A plane.

I made it! 80. First thing - roll upside down, wiggle the wings. Then four slow rolls, a four point roll, and an Immelmann turn. No, the first thing was a hand start (I have a starter; just wanted to make sure I could still do it) in my Cub of 59 years.
Then, touch and goes in the other two Cubs, with some engine failure practice thrown in. 24 landings total. Even helped the tower by picking up some keys on a closed runway. Then I shot a couple landing gear legs with yellow paint.
Half a beer with one of the girls - Cub pilot and really blonde - off to dinner with the Greek.
Not bad, huh?
 
Happy belated birthday Mr. Bob Turner! You set the bar pretty high running around like that yesterday! But, what will you do to top it when you turn 90?

Thanks Chris! I happened to be on first shift for parking planes so I had to be there early! The airport was Warwick (N72) in New York State, city people might say it's upstate even though it isn't very far from NYC. Back in the day our EAA chapter held some pretty busy fly-ins there, our record was 110 airplanes but that was when we held it in the second week of May and everyone was anxious to get out and fly. We had about 25 yesterday, maybe 26, I forgot to register after I parked! :) Nice to see everyone out and being sociable.
 
Yes, lovely grass. That sort of strip is rare out here - maybe Columbia, or some places in Oregon.

Your aircraft is really striking. Nice work. Wasn't sure I would like the scallops, but they turned out really attractive.
 
my friend Kurt invited me for a ride in his new Tiger Moth and OMG was it fun! that's him in the pic. he let me land it and try a couple of take offs. me want!!!

Nice Champ parked by the fuel pumps this afternoon. I think the owner was at thw skydiving place on the field.
