Windshield trim strip

I’d say remove and paint but also every time you have to touch that windshield you chance breaking it. If you did decide on painting over the screws, at least it’s something that doesn’t have to ever come off unless specifically changing the windshield.
 
Will the side of the windshield spring out when the strip is loosened up or does it hold its shape pretty well? Thanks Cliff!
 
It’s pretty solid. I took the rear screws out to replace them when I got the plane and everything stayed in place. The forwards ones have nuts on the back that I couldn’t get to because if fuel lines and wires so I changed those when it was off. There’s also the 5 across the top holding it in place so it’s really not going anywhere!
