Wing/Fuselage Bonding Straps?

Hi All,

I've got a woven bare metal strap coming from the fuselage at each wing root but I don't have any record of where they go or what they connect to. I'm thinking they're either wing to fuselage or fuselage/frame to fuel tank bonding straps.

Anyone happen to know?

That's a really good question. I just put a PA11 tank in a wing, and now thinking about it, I am not sure there will be any metal to metal contact. I will think about that a bit.

The IA that is helping with my project said bonding of the fuel tanks in a Citabria isn't necessary.
