Wing Tank

I got this tank from a long time tenant - it is apparently a rag-wing Piper tank, but is not what I recognize as a Super Cub tank. It has light corrosion outside, but is quite shiny inside, and is well-constructed with no apparent leaks, and only slight oil-canning evidence near the filler...

Without studying it, sure looks like it! I calculated 13.1 gals. Guessed at average height of 6". I do know some Calculus, but wasn't really interested in curve fitting.

The interesting thing - nobody wants it! I won't keep it longer than six months. I would pay big bucks for a similar Cub wing tank. This one is free! I am going to give it to a scrap collector in February. He will get five bucks for it, I am sure.

Went out two weeks ago. I walked it over to Arcelia's place, gave the tank and a phone #/address to a nice lady who just bought the business, and told her to call me if it didn't work out. It worked.

Sweet. I have a couple projects in works. One of which, the tanks were wrinkled when the wings broke.

I gave the tank away last month. It is no longer available. It is not here. It is gone elsewhere. I do not have it. It has been shipped way far away. Some other person has it.
