Citabria Wood spar options

i have a 7-ECA project that is missing paperwork…. Supposedly has new (wood) spars…. How many different companies make wood spars for these airplanes?

Well not sure what paperwork your missing, and by project what do you mean? Rainbow Ron sells new spars last time I checked, he’s also been a good source for information.

Rainbow Flying Service is the only company I am aware of with a PMA for wood spars. Owner fabricated might be an option too.

Your other option would be metal, either factory or Melman.

Yes, if you mill your own, out of aircraft grade Spruce, you are ok. Major repair, but easy paperwork.
What are you missing? In truth, all you need is a data plate on airframe and engine, an airworthiness certificate, and a current registration certificate. All else can be recovered if you have a way of figuring out total time.
