Wood wing aileron spades

Wish I could jump on these, but the Olin Pash STC with these spades only covers 7 series.

I know someone will snatch these up. Very hard to come by, especially with all the STC paperwork.
 
I'm shocked these have even gone a day without selling. How many posts are there looking for these?
 
He first mentioned them in his new member intro a few days ago. I called him within hours. I was going to buy them on the spot, but when he showed me the STC, it was only for the 7 series, and it explicitly stated it was not applicable to other unnamed models in the series. Since the 8KCAB has a different wing shape, I felt I was too far out of my knowledge base to try it. I told him to post in here, knowing someone would jump on them in a heartbeat. Great find for whoever grabbed them. Fess up so we can envy you!

The 7 series is all I have ever been around so it never occurred to me, but for sure it is limited in scope. "Awesome job" whoever got these.
 
It's a copy of the STC I am looking for. Have a purchased set of Olin Pash Spades on our 7KCAB, with the Installation Instructions page for Bellanca 7KCAB Citabria. Just no STC. That Installation document has F.A.A. APPROVED Wichita Aircraft Certification Office, ACE-115W Central Region, signed and Dated APR 2, 1991.
At Rebuild in 2012, we installed them and our A&P/IA signed them off based on that paperwork. I am now trying to make the paperwork look more professional and hoped to find a copy of the STC to support the Installation.
Anybody have it and can e-mail to me, or attach on this forum?

Never mind all the fuss. I found it by luck. STC SA2699CE 4/2/1991
But, the STC calls out Drawings 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 and Installation Instructions (which I have).
So now the request is for the 2 Drawings if anyone has them.
 
Can you use the STC without getting a signature on a page listing your N-number? Most STCs require a specific grant, and often just that piece of paper costs several hundred dollars.

A few STCs say "use our stuff and you may use our STC." One usually finds that on fabric processes.
 
As I am aware (not meaning I'm an expert), there are two types of STC's:
1) Applicable to a specific Aircraft Type and S/N as defined in the STC (that would have a stamp with Aircraft S/N and N Number)
2) Applicable to a list of approved aircraft models and Type Certificates (STC holder provides written evidence of permission to use that STC)
Often related to you buy it, the STC applies. Some of my STC components have generic letter from holder granting permission
For my Olin Pash Spades, I have the Bill of Sale, installation letter, STC (now), and somewhere I have the Darwing pages 1 & 2. I am headed to that box (upstairs in the hanger) where I now believe it is.
From here, each STC'ed component you want to install on your aircraft, check with your A&P-IA for his/her advice on how they would handle it. Some might be easy, some more complicated.

TSL…..any success on finding the two Pash drawings referred to in the STC? I’m in the same boat..I have a 7KCAB and now have the spades, the STC title page, and the one page installation instructions. Still trying to locate a copy of the two referenced drawings. Thanks

I just looked at our paperwork for the Pash install and there are no drawings. I had seen a post that the Pash was for wood spars only. Well here is a question. These were installed on a former wood wing airplane. It had Milman spars installed years prior. Can they still be installed legally?
 
Does the Pash STC specify wood spars only, or does it just give a serial number range?

If the former, then nope. If it simply says something like "serial # xxx through yyy" then it is up to the installer to make sure it is compatible with the Milman STC.
