We are looking for citabria gear legs and a citabria tail.
Let us know what you have. Closer to Toronto Canada, better it is.

I have the empennage from a wrecked Champion Citabria. It's the rear fuselage section with fin, horiz stabs, elevators, rudder, and elevator trim tab. Fabric is removed and the tubing looks solid.

Shipping looks pretty impossible and it's in Tucson so that's a serious road trip from Toronto.

I think the new horizontal parts are still under a grand each. Shipping is killing us - we just got a $9000 Stearman wing shipped for $4200. Arrived in perfect shape.

the factory crates most larger parts where any damage would render them useless. Crating fees can be in the hundreds of dollars on top of higher shipping because of the crate but the parts are generally perfect and ready to use.

I've got horizontal stab panels and two spare gear legs that would need to be sent to out to Washington state for reconditioning.

$300 for the two horizontal stab panels plus shipping and $300 for the two gear legs plus shipping to WA. You'd have to pay for the reconditioning service plus shipping back to your place which would be about $950 total if I had to guess. I can get you the serial numbers from the gear legs if you'd like to figure out what year they are. Later gear legs have better steel from what I understand.

Yes - crating for our wing was originally a grand, but then the wing factory said "no more crating."
Agree with Bart - crates are almost necessary, but can be pricey.

A shipper bid $2500, but then said six grand for the wing crate. FedEx shipped it perfectly for $4200. No crate. It came nose down in five cradles, supplied free.

All in all, we got it done, and while I wasn't there, it looks like the wing builder took pains to make sure it was in the truck properly. So, kudos to Ben Redmon and Rare Aircraft.
