I need an A&P/IA to help get my Aeronca 7BCM/L16A back in the air. The IA I was working with has retired and I need to pick up where he left off. The Champ is fully assembled and running. I have taxied it around the airfield, done full engine runups and proved that it rolls very well.

The back story: My airplane partner and I found this Champ in upstate Maine in late 2021. It was current and flying at the time. On pre-buy inspection cracks were found in the wood wing spars. We bought it anyway knowing the spars had to be replaced. Milman aluminum spars were installed per the STC and 2x13 gallon wing tanks were added per Champion Kit 192. The wings were recovered and painted and all of that was signed off and 337s submitted. The fuselage and wings were brought to our home airfield for reassembly. A couple of other changes were also done: wing tank fuel plumbing in the fuselage (per Champion Kit 192, Hooker harnesses/lapbelts (STC), Steve's gascolator (STC), API tailwheel (per factory drawing).

Remaining to be done: weight and balance, equipment list, airworthiness certificate, submit all Form 337s. That's what I need help with.

The Champ is located at a small private airfield in Brookline NH (NH16) in an open shed hangar. I can be reached at mobile: 603-three-two-seven-9169 by message or voice. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Most of that is easy - not having an airworthiness certificate can cause a lot of grief. Hopefully you can claim it was lost, and just get a replacement. Do that before spending another penny. I don't think you need an IA for that; just a friendly ASI.
