Anyone here well-versed in 3D printing?

My son bought a printer last year and doesn't use it much when he's away at college. I can draw 2D with Autocad but how would I make the jump to 3D drafting and printing?

Help an old guy out!!! Please & thank you!

That screaming you hear is me trying to learn Fusion 360 so I can draw my own parts before 3D printing them.

Check out Tinkercad, basic but pretty capable.
Using YouTube videos helped the learning curve.

Fusion360 is too frustrating

Thingiverse is a good source to find a starting point sometimes
