One of the guys this evening said the later 180s were longer. I said "I don't think so - they just re-arranged the baggage area and added some windows.

Anybody know for sure? I would ask on supercub dot org, but since the upgrade I am banished.

I am pretty sure even the 185 uses the same fuselage.

Same size fuse. The H model '65 ish model year and newer share the same exact fuse, as in the third window. The first bunch of H models had the 180 smaller vertical, but mid year on it too shared the 185 larger tail.

Actually, it's the same fuselage right from the start - and more or less the same fuselage as the 170 (and subsequently 172). Yes, the windows changed, but cabin width / length is the same - hence why the they've got the same door for example, and you could put the 180 baggage door on a 170. Cowling / empennage are different of course. People have difficulty believing this (especially after shelling out ridiculous $ to buy one) - the larger tail, cowling, stance makes a 180 look bigger, but it's really a 172 inside.

Thanks. Another guy has throttle/mixture cable problems. Cessna apparently used cheap plastic sheaths over the cables, and they have disintegrated.

I am thinking that Decathlon cables would work - I suggested “Spruce,” and that he check with Supercub.org. I can’t help him there; they upgraded and my password no longer works.

Any suggestions for good quality cables?

Bob, McFarlane for Cessna (and other) cables. You're missed on Supercub.org, should rattle SJ's cage on this.

I really like Mcfarlane cables. ACS cables are a less expensive option that seem well built, but I dont have long term experience with ACS
