Champ Structural Jig and Repair

Hello @7GC and welcome to the site!

Nice to know your jig is out there for repairs. Are you a commercial repairs shop? Have any pics of the jigs and projects you've completed? I'm sure anyone out there considering repairs would like to see some of the work you've done.

Thanks for the questions, Bart. I am a simi retired A&P/IA that enjoys working on aircraft. My background is in structural repair and welding, so Champ Fuselages fit me well. I started repairing them about 20 years ago with a plumb bob and a level. I had an opportunity to build a jig off of a perfect fuselage about 15 years ago, so I did. I am not a production repairer, but I hate to see old champs die. I am not soliciting work, only letting people know that I am willing to help. I currently have two Champs that I am repairing for myself and that is my daily job. I will see if I can get some pictures of past and present projects.
 
Pretty cool set up and nice to know you're bringing airframes back into the fleet. Feel free to post pics of your builds in our projects sub-forum, that's what it's there for! :)
