I have a over landing friend and a aircraft friend who swear by these, wanted to get the consensus here.

This heater

Apparently it burns very little diesel (hopefully also jet-a) and outputs clean hot air.

Also has a 12VDC power input needed to run

So.. I added this
Pardon Our Interruption...

To run the heated but also to install a GPU plug on it for the other plane so I could start it off the pack if needed

Also got some soft dryer ducting and a Y fitting.

Thought it I could have this as a heating / starting kit, put one end of the hose into the cowl, other into the cabin, have it a ok distance away from the plane, run for a hr or so

Anyone have any experience with these?

Also looking for a recommend for a GPU plug I could use with this that’s not a arm and a leg

Thanks

I have used one for about 5 years . One of the best ( other than electric oil pan heaters ) , safest , and quickest pre heaters I have ever used . Take care to make sure that the unit is not deprived of 12v power during ( or after ) use as it needs fan power to cool it down for several min after use to prevent a meltdown/fire .
Will run 12 hours on a gallon of diesel fuel .
