Elevator trim stop

Anybody have a picture of what the elevator up trim stop should look like? It is apparently mounted underneath the elevator where the trim tab horn would be stopped at full deflection.

My IA thinks it is missing on our airplane and doesn’t know what it should look like. The parts diagram is not clear enough for him to know what he should be looking at.

Is this what you're looking for?
This one is on a Citabria, on an earlier Champ at the same fly-in there was none. I don't believe there's any on my 7AC either.
It looks like a screw head with multiple washers underneath, don't know what's on the top side.

I checked mine. No stop but there seems to be a hole for the screw under the fabric.

Makes me wonder if I didn't just cover it over when I re-covered the airframe.

I have a feeling this is a common ommision at recover. It is a very generous amount of up elevator at the stop, I don’t think I’ve ever been close to it while in flight.

This is the first annual under our ownership and the IA is being really thorough and this came up while he was checking the trim limits. He couldn’t figure out why he was getting so much more deflection in aft trim than what the manual called for. The forward (down) trim stop is in the lever itself and he assumed that should be the case for aft trim as well, until he looked into it further.

I could see where this could be an issue. Let’s say a child is allowed to sit up front while the airplane is on the ground, they like to move everything, they pull the lever all the way back and then leave the cockpit. Pilot doesn’t do a thorough preflight or pre takeoff check. Surprise!

Just did this myself. I was replacing the seized pulleys in the tail and rigging ..... And scratched my head as to WTH....from the 7GCBC manual,

AN526-1032-18 screw
AN364-1032 nut
AN315-3R nut (lower)

My plane flew for 25 years without that screw.... Mustn't be that critical of a stop
